Fruitfulness

This is a sermon i did last year and just want to share with you guys. pls reply for enquiries k?

(Gen 29)

v31 - When the Lord saw that Leah was unloved, He opened her womb; but Rachel was barren.

Leah - fruitful
Rachel - barren

By (Gen 30) Leah had bore 4 sons and stop bearing.

(Gen 30)

- Rachel envied her sister, Leah as she did not produce children.

v3 - So she said, "Here is my maid Bilhah ; go in to her, and she will bear a child on my knees,
that I also may have children by her."
v5 - And Bilhah concieved and bore Jacob a son.
v6 - Then Rachel said, "God has judge my case; and He has also heard my voice and given me a son."
v7 - And Rachel's maid Bilhah concieved again and bore Jacob a second son.
v8 - Then Rachel said, "With great wrestlings I have wrestled with my sister, and indeed I have prevailed."

- Leah saw that she has stop bearing.

v9 - When Leah saw that she had stop bearing, she took Zilpah her maid and gave to Jacob as wife.
v10 - And Leah's maid Zilpah bore Jacob a son.
v11 - Then Leah said, "A troops comes!" So she called his name Gad.

Why would these 2 women, Rachel and Leah, wanted to bear Jacob so many children?
A very simple reason, they wanted to gain favor from the one they love!

Why would people want to bear God so many fruits?
They wanted to gain favor from the one they love!

Rachel repesents those of you who are barren. Those of you who had never brought someone to Christ.
Leah represents those of you who were fruitful. Those of you who had once brought someone to Christ.

Friends, you might be barren now but right now you will know why are you barren!
You are still withholding your maid from Jacob!

Friends, you might be fruitful in the past but right now you will know how to continue to be fruitful!
Give in your maid to Jacob as the barren had did!

What does maid here represents?
Maid = Sacrifice!
Sacrifice represents your LOVE, TIME, PRIDE, MONEY!

What does Jacob here represents?
Jacob = Harvest field!
Harvest field represents your CAMPUS, FAMILY, FRIENDS, SOCIETY!

To these 2 women, by giving Jacob they maids, they are sacrificing. Do you think they felt the pain when their husband lie with other women?

v18 - Leah said, "God has given me my wages, because I have given my maid to my husband." So she called his name Issachar.

Friends, God will give you your wages when you give your sacrifice to the harvest field!

Look at v8 and v11. Leah and Rachel were always on a competition with each other to bear more children.
If you can be like them, you bring 2?! Next week I am going to bring 4!

Because of these 2 women, Jacob became the Father of all nations.
Because of you, Jesus will become the Lord of all nations! And every knee shall bow and tongue confess to Jesus!
Amen!

Praise God. This has grown my faith and taught me not to stop bearing fruit even in the midst of exam. Is exam more important than our Almighty God who will bless you mightily in your exams? No.

Friends let's really bear fruit to for the one we love! Jesus Christ! and not only for service, but for cg too.. where friends will really feel the love of God through E354.
